One thing I will remember about that day would be watching the films and thinking that the films sort of sucked.
My Dialog
In this dialogs, we have with us Bobby Pendragon, a fictional character from the renowned Pendragon book series, and Barack Obama, the famous Illinois Senator who is campaigning for the Presidency in 2008. They will be asking each other some questions that will give readers some insight to both people. Also, this dialog contains information from the Pendragon Series, updated to the 9th out of 10th book, Raven Rise.
Obama: So, Pendragon, where are you from? I’m from Honolulu, HI.
Pendragon: I was born in Stony Brook, CT.
Obama:That’s nice to know, with all of the events going on, you have a place where you are somewhat attached to.
Pendragon: So, Senator, what religion are you of?
Obama: I am of Christianity, and I used to be of the Trinity United Church of Christ, a Congregationalist church in Chicago. I resigned my membership after reverend Wright’s controversial comments.
Pendragon: I have never been religious myself, so I can’t say which branch of Christianity I belong to.
Obama: So, Bobby, do you plan to have kids in the future? I have two daughters with my wife Michelle.
Pendragon: I am too busy fighting off Saint Dane on 10 different worlds, so I will be occupied for a long time. Plus, after the 9th book, I am supposedly dead, but just revived at the end of the book. So, no.
Obama: What candidate do you support in the upcoming elections? I support myself, obviously, or else I wouldn’t be in this race.
Pendragon: I, as a young 18 year old traveler, can’t say, but I’m gonna have to go with you, Senator.
Obama: What sports do you play? I played all sorts of sports, ranging from basketball to bowling.
Pendragon: I used to play basketball for Davis Gregory High School in Stony Brook.
Obama: What College do you plan on attending? I attended Occidental College for two years before transferring to Colombia University in New York.
Pendragon: I don’t really plan to, but that’s for time to tell.
Obama: So, it has been nice speaking with you, hope to catch you later, Bobby.
Pendragon: You too, Senator Obama, good luck in the General Elections!
Marshall Young Writers Camp
1.)There are lots of things that I will remember about this writing camp, but among all of them, I will remember the fun I had while writing. I haven’t really had much fun writing before, so this is a first. It has helped open up my world of writing. It has also really helped develop my creative writing for High School next year. So, it really has been a fun experience at this Writing Camp.
2.) My favorite part of Writing Camp would be the different types of writing we did. We learned to like writing (for the time being) and use it to its full extent.
3.) I would have like to do more of poetry/short stories, because those sections are my areas of weakness. Still, we did write good sections.
4.) I would have liked for this to last longer and to be later in the day so I don’t have to get up so early in the summer.
This was a fun camp, too bad I won’t have some other way to kill time next summer.
Wrap Up! 6-18-2008
Today, during Sacred Writing, all of the adults wrote very good passages. Also, Anthony Jaime wrote a very emotional passage about his father. It was so emotional that he broke down crying. It was very touching. That was one thing I remembered about today.
My Favorite Teacher
My Favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Mclaughlin, the advanced English and TAG teacher at my school, Huntington Middle School. His classes don’t pile up a log of homework, just the routine projects and some rare work. He has helped me a lot with my high school class planning, partially because I will be taking trigonometry next. year. So his efforts has helped me get all of my classes in order. Also, he has been a great help around the school, even though he does “enrich” our assignments from other classes. So, I guess he has influenced my life a bit, from going over grammar in class to helping me with next year’s schedule, he has been a great help.
He also has helped coordinate my online math classes this year. With his efforts, I was able to successfully complete Geometry Honors and receive an A for the grade. I am also working on the 2nd segment of Algebra II Honors. Even though it’s summer, he still answers questions related to the class, such as the deadline to finish, or other technical questions.
Finally, with all the competitions I’ve been in, he has helped coordinate them, from the Regional Spelling Bee to the State Math field Day, he has helped attain study materials for me. So all in all, he has somewhat impacted and influenced my life, so he would be my favorite teacher. Additionally, he would recommend books to me and make some jokes that sent some people laughing and others staring blankly. I have to say he has a good teaching strategy, and gets his message though, not with tons of work, but with class discussions and creative projects. He was the person that if I had a technical problem during school, I could contact and fix the problem. That is why I think he is my favorite teacher.
Wrap Up! 6-17-2008
I remembered that I had a bit of fun during the play-doh sculpting time. I made two dinosaurs witht the play-doh. I also talkd with Cheyenne and Anthony during the break in the Student Center. I just remembered today was my birthday.

It is not lazy, but does not do anything except the necessary things to live. It grows up as a Pegasus (child) for 10 years, and as a Pegasaurus for 240-260 years. Its entire life lasts on average 250-270 years. It weighs on average 400-550 lbs. and lays spotted eggs. The estimated total number of Pegasaurus is 200,000-300,000. When the Pegasaurus grows past 200 years, it grows thick plates of skin as armor for protection as it ages. During the Pegasaurus’ growth, it starts as a pegasaur, but when it starts growing spikes on its back, it shows it has become a Pegasaurus. Then, as it grows larger, it will have its head grow elongated, and when it grows older, it will grow thick plates of skin for protection along its middle to lower body. The time when a Pegasaurus usually lays its eggs are when its 20-200 years old. When it grows thick plates, it shows infertility and will devote its time to protection its offspring. Even though it’s a herbivore, the Pegasaurus will openly attack other creatures when it feels its offspring are threatened.
